It has provided four options for companies to continue operating. The first and second option allow companies to either let workers stay at work or provide transportation to bring them from their accommodation to the factory.

In the third option, a "green" zone would be established between companies that have most of their staff vaccinated. Workers can use their personal vehicles to travel between "green" areas and must not stop elsewhere.

The fourth option would be a combination of the first three.

HCMC has recorded nearly 149,300 Covid-19 cases since the end of April, with over 4,500 cases confirmed Sunday.

The city has extended its social distancing order to Sept. 15, after already completing 70 days.
