According to the province’s electronic information portal, the South Koreas firm will develop the Chan May Industrial Park on an area of 115 ha at a cost of $34.56 million, a 700-ha industrial and hi-tech zone and a 1,000-ha urban area in the under-construction Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone.

In 2019, provincial authorities signed a memorandum of understanding with the company for developing part of Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone, 45 km from Phu Bai International Airport in the North and 30 km from Da Nang International Airport in the South. Covering a total area of 27,108 ha, Chan May-Lang Co is designed to have five functional zones.

Thua Thien Hue is building up a list of projects calling for investment in the 2021-2022 period, and using a project management software to connect the provincial authorities with enterprises, and help them monitor investment progress, said Nguyen Dai Vui, director of the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.

The provincial authorities have recently inked with a Japanese-invested retailer AeonMall Vietnam a memorandum of understanding on researching into construction of a trade center with estimated total investment of $150-160 million in the province's Hue Town.
