HCMC's 800-worker factory exits lockdown
HCMC authorities have lifted lockdown orders on Vina Kitchenware where 800 people are employed after 15 days of isolation.

This is the first factory in a Ho Chi Minh City industrial park to be closed when an employee contracted the novel coronavirus from the Christian missionary group cluster.
On May 28, the kitchenware manufacturer was put under lockdown. Those who had direct contact with the patient were transported to quarantine facilities while the rest remained within the factory for 15 days.
"We experienced difficult days but everything eventually turned out good," said company CEO Nguyen Manh Dung.
Some other companies in HCMC were partly shut after their staff contracted the coronavirus. They include footwear makers Pouyuen Vietnam and Samho Vietnam.
HCMC factories had recorded a total nine Covid-19 cases. It operates a total 17 manufacturing zones and industrial parks that employ over 320,000 workers.
