Smart technology solutions add value to Novaland's Aqua City

Aqua City benefits from a range of digital transformation solutions and high-tech urban applications deployed by its developer, NovaGroup, and the company's partners.

Adopting smart solutions for the management and operation of urban areas is a global trend that maximizes the benefits of using of technology, thereby bringing new experiences and a number of conveniences to residents.

In line with current trends, Aqua City is taking strategic steps toward becoming a perfect smart eco-urban area at the eastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City.

The high-tech utilities include smart traffic, smart parking apps, on-demand services via apps, free public wifi, charging stations, etc. that improve convenience for residents, fulfill community needs quicker and smarter and enrich the working and living experiences.

A 2017 ABI study found that eco-urban areas integrated with smart technology solutions, offering energy and water saving, and using environment-friendly materials offer their residents convenience and safety in terms of health, enhancing harmony in the community and labor productivity.

To make Aqua City a smart city that is good for living in and keep up with technological trends, NovaGroup has tied up with Viettel to develop smart city solutions for it.

This urban area will be equipped with a centralized operations center (IOC), environmental pollution monitoring, online payment, security monitoring and warning, smart parking, and smart urban management systems among others.

Aqua City will also prioritize the digital transformation solutions developed by Viettel, such as telecom infrastructure, information security and digital services.

The project will also use renewable energy technology for the operation of public utilities, focusing on smart designs to maximize natural light and wind, thereby reducing electricity use.

By installing a waste collection and sorting system, NovaGroup aims to minimize the negative impacts on the environment.

It is expected that the 1,000-hectare smart eco-urban area, when completed, will offer high-quality living space for hundreds of thousands of people, making it the most crowded community in the eastern part of Ho Chi Minh City.

Eco-smart city attracts investors

"With the use of smart technologies in its management, Aqua City will not only bring benefits to its future residents, but also contribute to sustainable development and add long-term value," a spokesperson said.

A JLL report also found that institutional and individual investors are becoming increasingly aware of the social and environmental impacts of their investment decisions as the world promotes efforts to reduce carbon emissions and increase corporate accountability.

Some two-thirds of the respondents in the 2019 Global Impact Investing Network survey said that they use the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to track their performance from investments.

In Vietnam, since demand for living a new and green life and the prevalence of smart and environment-friendly gadgets are growing, products that keep up with these trends attract customers.

"This is one of the reasons why Aqua City has become a leading project in Ho Chi Minh City market in the last two years," an Aqua City spokesperson said.

Thanks to smart solutions for managing and operating it Aqua City ensures occupants have a comfortable and high standard of living. This adds vitality to the project, increasing its value and the reputation of its developer over time.
