HBRE Ha Tinh Ltd’s 30-hectare plant in Ky Anh Commune received the license after authorities recently completed the environmental impact assessment.

The 120-megawatt plant will have 25 turbines capable of producing over 350 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually.

Construction is set to being early next month, funded 85 percent through borrowings.

Hoang Ngoc Quy, CEO of HBRE, said it would be among the best wind power projects in the country in terms of average wind speed.

The company has signed a feed-in tariff agreement with national utility Vietnam Electricity.
