Bao Viet’s (BVH) 2020 after-tax profit up 28.5 per cent

Bao Viet Holdings and its affiliates reported positive growth last year with total turnover of VND48.949 trillion (US$2.12 billion), up 9.1 per cent year-on-year and surpassing the annual target by 8.9 per cent.

After-tax profit hit VND1.597 trillion, up 28.5 per cent and equivalent to 135.3 per cent of the annual target.

Bao Viet's member companies also saw encouraging results. Bao Viet Life Insurance posted revenue of over VND36.1 trillion last year, up 12.4 per cent, Bao Viet Fund VND114 billion, and Bao Viet Securities JSC VND594 billion, surpassing the annual target by 23 per cent.

Bao Viet now owns the largest assets in the insurance market, worth over VND147 trillion ($6.39 billion).
