ACLEDA Bank unveils new logo

ACLEDA Bank Plc, the first commercial bank to be listed on the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX), on December 31 officially launched its new logo after nearly 30 years of operation.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, president and CEO In Channy said the change was in line with the bank’s strategic mission perspective and global fintech development.

He said: “I officially launch the new ACLEDA Bank logo with our existing digital infrastructure and will continue to develop our services through the use of the latest technologies to make them more modern, more secure and easier for our community of customers – public or private – from all backgrounds, and maintain the highest quality in the banking and financial sector.”

The new logo will preserve the symbol, identity and meaning that the bank has built over the past 29 years, he said.

In the middle of a blue circle lies a “pakshi-svarga” or “bird of paradise” in gold and white, which he said denotes the sustainable strengths and prosperity of the bank.

“Bird of paradise” is also a common name for flowers of the Strelitzia genus, which bear a striking resemblance to the logo.

Channy said white represents righteousness, transparency, honesty and integrity; gold stands for value and quality; while blue signifies unity, stability and wellbeing.

The combination of the three colours presents the seeds and resources for sustainable growth and development in the financial sector, he said.

“I would also like to express my gratitude to the customers, and the general public from all milieus, in the public and private sectors, especially the National Bank of Cambodia with its continuing support of ACLEDA Bank, which has been actively providing banking services for more than 29 years,” Channy said.

ACLEDA Bank has four subsidiaries – ACLEDA Securities Plc, ACLEDA Institute of Business, ACLEDA Bank Lao Ltd and ACLEDA Microfinance Institution Myanmar and has a representative office in Myanmar.

As of September 30, ACLEDA Bank’s total assets stood at 26.10 trillion riel ($6.5 billion), total loan portfolio grew to 16.99 trillion riel, deposits reached 18.56 trillion riel, while the number of digital ACLEDA Unity Instant service subscribers hit 1.62 million.
