SCG Concrete Roof honored among Top 100 Sustainable Companies in Vietnam

SCG Concrete Roof (Vietnam), a subsidiary of SCG in Vietnam, has been awarded the Top 100 Sustainable Companies in Vietnam title by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainability (VBCSD).

This achievement is a testament to the SCG Concrete Roof (Vietnam)'s relentless commitment to creating better living for Vietnamese people through sustainable approaches.

SCG Concrete Roof (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. (CRVC) was established in Vietnam in 2005. Nowadays, after 15 years of development, the company has evolved into a leading building materials manufacturer in Vietnam, providing local consumers with premium quality roof tile products as well as complete roofing systems to address customers’ changing needs.

Along with the continual development of science and technology, the Vietnamese market has seen a growing number of construction materials which not only focus on quality but also design and convenience of use.

“In response to these changing needs, CRVC has made continuous investment in product innovations and state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, in tandem with the on-going improvement in operations to help preserve the environment as well as provide better working conditions to our employees, and the lives of surrounding communities,” said Udorn Chobtham, general director of CRVC and Buu Long Industry and Investment JSC.

Thanks to its persistent efforts to pursue a sustainable strategy, CRVC has achieved outstanding results in many areas. Chief amongst those is the SPAP Level 3 certification by the Safety Performance Assessment Programme for the company’s rigorous practice in occupational health and safety. The company is also amongst the few enterprises in the industry to be qualified with triple international quality certifications, including ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 for Environment Management System, and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

In 2020, for the second year in a row, SCG Concrete Roof has been awarded the Top 100 Sustainable Companies in Vietnam by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, marking another milestone on the company’s sustainable journey. The CSI Index 2020, including 128 indicators in the four areas of sustainable performance index, governance index, environment index, and labour index, not only reflects the enterprise’s holistic sustainable approach but also showcases their continual improvement to meet the higher standards of environmental and labour policies.

SCG Concrete Roof (Vietnam) Co., Ltd., formerly known as CPAC Roof Tile is a subsidiary company of SCG in Vietnam. The factory is located at Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park in Binh Duong province to produce concrete roof tiles and fittings with an annual capacity of 17 million pieces to serve the Vietnamese market.
