PVGAS LPG customers in southwestern region visit GPP Ca Mau

In order to strengthen relations with customers, PetroVietnam LPG Joint Stock Company (PVGAS LPG) organized a tour of its Ca Mau Gas Processing Plant (GPP Ca Mau) under the PetroVietnam Gas Ca Mau Company (KCM), a member unit of the PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas).

Participants included Deputy Director of PVGAS LPG Nguyen Hai Long, Deputy Director of KCM Nguyen Hong Quang, professional staff of the two units and customers. Representatives of PVGAS LPG and KCM presented highlights of the two companies’ achievements and of the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supply by PV Gas.

PVGAS LPG is currently the only unit of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and PV GAS that produces and trades in gas cylinders with the PetroVietnam Gas brand nationwide. The country’s southwestern region is one of the key markets with increasing demand for LPG.

The GPP plant at Ca Mau in the country’s southwestern region has a total investment of more than VND5.5 trillion, and is the flag project of PVN and PV Gas, ensuring national energy security and solving LPG shortage in the Vietnamese market. The plant with a processing capacity of 6.2 million cu.m of gas per day from the PM3-CAA gas well supplies to the market about 600 tonnes of LPG a day, equivalent to 200,000 tonnes per year. It also supplies about 35 tonnes of condensate per day, or 12,000 tonnes per year, supplementing about 10 percent of the domestic market demand. The plant not only contributes to the local budget nearly VND300 billion a year, but also creates jobs in new industries, improving the quality of human resources in Ca Mau Province.

The tour helped customers better understand the orientation of PVGAS LPG, which seeks to become the leading company in the country’s LPG market. Over the past 20 years, the PetroVietnam Gas brand name has been developed and positioned as the leading brand in the national LPG market, due to the support of PVGAS LPG customers in the southwestern region for the PetroVietnam Gas brand. The PVGAS LPG’s Board of Directors is determined to accompany and work closely with customers to further develop PetroVietnam Gas cylinder output in the southwestern region according to the corporation’s retail strategy.
