As the leader of one of Manulife’s most important and successful markets in Asia, Sang shared his commitment to build on the current legacy and maximise the opportunity in Vietnam.

“I’m honoured to be given the chance to serve our 1 million plus customers in Vietnam and my focus will be on helping each and every one of them live every day better. Manulife Vietnam’s success is built on the satisfaction of our customers and by acting upon their feedback, we can better serve their current and future needs,” said Sang.

“In order to grow and continue to outpace the competition, we need to play to our strengths, adapt to the evolving market landscape, while also addressing the needs of the community. I believe there is a real opportunity for our industry to help close the protection gap, improve the life insurance penetration rate, and respond to the public’s growing interest in health and wellness.”

Vietnam is one of the world’s most exciting economies and attractive life insurance markets, offering untapped potential with an upwardly mobile population. Sachin N. Manulife Vietnam is widely recognised for helping to reshape the life insurance industry in Vietnam with its innovative digital services, solutions, and experiences. As the company looks to build on this momentum, Sang doubled down on his promise to continue innovating in one of the fastest-growing markets in the region.

“Manulife Vietnam is here to help people protect their loved ones, grow their wealth, improve their health, and build a better future. In order to do this right, I promise to continue pioneering the transformation of the industry for the benefit of our customers, advisors, and the community. For me, this is all about maximising our opportunities and changing our game,” added Sang.

Sang joined Manulife in 2018 as the CEO of the Malaysia operations, helping increase their market share and significantly grow revenue during his time as leader. Prior to joining Manulife, Sang held various senior roles in life insurance and asset management over a 28-year career in Asia, including in Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand.
