The recognition acknowledges businesses with sustainable growth while positively contributing to the lives of the community, as well as enhancing their competitive edges in a globalised context.
“We are proud and honoured to be listed among the top 100 sustainable companies in the country by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) for several years in a row now. This continued recognition is an important indication that we are consistently on the right track to building a long-term and sustainable business in Vietnam,” said Vu Van Thang, general manager for Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our customers, our independent members, and related stakeholders for their strong support to Herbalife Vietnam, without which we would not be what we are today.”
As a nutrition company with the aspiration of changing people’s lives through science-based products, Herbalife will continue to work closely with related stakeholders to promote a healthy, active lifestyle among the local communities, helping its consumers and customers achieve optimal health results in a sustainable way, added Thang.
The evaluation of the Top 100 Sustainable Companies is based on the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) which was developed by the VCCI and is updated annually based on feedback from experts and members, government authorities, and local and international organisations.
The index ps sustainability indicators in economic, environmental, and social areas, and is widely acknowledged as a benchmark for evaluating and ranking Vietnam’s sustainable companies.

Over more than a decade in Vietnam, Herbalife has been tying its success in business to bettering lives around it through numerous corporate social responsibility activities. The Casa Herbalife Nutrition campaign has been deployed in 2013, providing better nutrition to more than 800 disadvantaged children in four Casa centres across the country.
Volunteering activities like blood donation are also organised annually, and this year the company and all of its staff and members have collectively donated over VND3.7 billion ($161,000) to the government’s fight against COVID-19.
In addition to numerous awards for reputable products every year, Herbalife Nutrition is a long-standing partner of the Vietnam Olympic Committee and the Vietnam Paralymic Association, enhancing the performance of Vietnamese athletes in every regional and international sports event like the SEA Games, ParaGames, ASIAD, and the Olympics since 2012.
Starting in 2016, the Top 100 Sustainable Companies Vietnam Awards is organised by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development under the VCCI. This year, the number of candidate profiles reached about 600.
