Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea (RoK), Park Byeong-seug, held a working session with the Samil Vina and Hyosung companies, based in the southern province of Dong Nai, on November 4.

The Speaker and his spouse planted trees and visited the companies’ factories.

A leader from Samil Vina said the company opened its first factory in Dong Nai in 2006, with employee numbers rising from the hundreds to 2,300. It produces and exports about 45,000 tonnes of knit fabric each year and earned 220 million USD in revenue in 2019.

It will continue to open more factories in the time to come and invest in advanced technologies.

The company already owns a wastewater treatment system with a daily capacity of 3,000 cu.m, with recycled wastewater used in production.

The RoK delegation hoped companies can quickly overcome the difficulties posed by COVID-19 and contribute to maintaining ties between the two countries.
