Savannakhet sets up site to inform investors
Business operators will find it easier to make decisions about investment in Savannakhet now that the Lao province has created a website which provides all the information needed by potential investors.
The website was set up to attract more investors as well as make the process of registering a business easier.
A provincial official said: “Investors or those interested in business and investment in our province can now easily access information because we have uploaded the most recent updates onto the website at www.invest-savannakhet.gov.la.
“The website was developed by Savannakhet province’s Planning and Investment Department in a bid to attract more investors, both from Laos and overseas, once the Covid-19 pandemic is over.
“The pandemic is having a devastating effect on the global economy as well as investment in this province so we hope the website will encourage more companies to invest in Savannakhet.”
The website includes all investment information relating to Savannakhet, such as the investment potential of each district, financial accounts of current investment projects, the procedures required to register investment, and how to obtain permission.
It also details the Law on Investment, the cost of land rental in the Savan-Seno Special Economic Zone and other policies that support investment in the province.
The website is now ready for public use and people can download the information it provides to help them make decisions about investing in Savannakhet.
