An Phat Holdings (APH) receives double awards at APEA 2020

An Phat Holdings and its chairman Pham Anh Duong were honoured with the Corporate Excellence Award and Master Entrepreneur Award at the Asia-Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA) 2020, organised by Enterprise Asia, the region’s leading NGO. APEA is the largest regional recognition programme held annually in major countries in the region such as Singapore, India, and China with a view to honouring the leading corporate figures and organisations.

At the awards ceremony, Pham Anh Duong, chairman of An Phat Holdings, was honoured with the Master Entrepreneur Award in the Asia-Pacific region. Significantly, An Phat Holdings became the first Vietnamese plastics business to get the prestigious Corporate Excellence Award.

As one of the Master Entrepreneurs honoured at the ceremony, Pham Anh Duong expressed his pride that the achievements of individuals and An Phat Holdings were recognised by the international community.

“This recognition is not only a milestone in my career but also a reminder that I need to maintain my passion for business and social responsibility.”

Enterprise Asia’s international judging committee highly appreciated the performance and the multi-faceted development of An Phat Holdings (APH) in the past years. Going from a small firm, APH has grown into the No.1 performer in Southeast Asia in the production and export of thin monolayer film, and is on the way to becoming the region’s leading eco-friendly and high-tech bioplastics group with an expansive customer network in nearly 70 countries and territories around the world.

Undergoing nearly two decades of establishment and development, APH has succeeded in creating a synchronous, closed ecosystem with 15 member companies operating in many fields: compostable materials and finished products; packaging; engineering plastics and SPC flooring; raw materials and chemicals for the plastics industry; precision engineering and mouldings; and industrial real estate.

Specifically, the judge commended APH’s ability to grasp the green consumption trend by producing compostable materials and products. In the forthcoming time, APH will continue pushing up the production of green materials and products, as well as the construction of Vietnam’s first and largest compostable material production facility named AnBio serving domestic and export demands.

Attending the ceremony with associates and partners, Dinh Xuan Cuong, vice chairman, CEO of APH said: “On behalf of An Phat Holdings, I am honoured to receive the Corporate Excellence Award from Enterprise Asia. This is a great honour because An Phat Holdings is the first enterprise in the plastics-chemical industry to receive this award. We will make more efforts to bring values to the community, society, and environment. I would like to thank all the partners and customers of An Phat Holdings in Vietnam and in nearly 70 countries around the world for accompanying us during the past time. Certainly, An Phat Holdings will achieve more and more success.”

With strict criteria and selection process, APEA seeks to laud the best performing individuals and businesses in the region. The occasion also provides networking opportunities for Asia’s leading entrepreneurs and businesses to beef up innovation and regional cooperation.

To win the awards, the candidates had to overcome diverse rounds of assessment, such as financial audits, business data appraisal, and leader management capacity for many successive years, direct on-site interviews, and ballot votes by Enterprise Asia’s judging panel. In addition, the nominees must attest their management capacity, experience, and commitment to maintaining sustainable business principles and standards.

An Phat Holdings (APH) is one of the top performers in eco-friendly and high-tech plastic production in Southeast Asia.

APH has opened branches in many countries such as Singapore, South Korea, France, and the US. Four out of its 15 member units have been taken on the bourse: An Phat Holdings (HSX: APH), An Phat Bioplastics (HSX: AAA), Hanoi Plastics JSC (HSX: NHH), and An Tien Industries JSC (HSX: HII).

Notably, APH is the first Vietnamese firm and is one of the few businesses worldwide succeeding in producing compostable materials and the products of international standards under the AnEco brand. The company is on the way to reaching its target of growing into Southeast Asia’s No.1 eco-friendly and high-tech plastic group with revenue touching $1 billion by 2025.
