VRDF 2020: Making Vietnam's growth recovery inclusive and sustainable
The annual Vietnam Reform and Development Forum (VRDF) 2020 will take place on September 29 in Hanoi to discuss the means of making Vietnam's recovery from COVID-19 inclusive and sustainable.

The VRDF 2020 is expected to welcome 400 representatives, including some hailing from other countries, development partners of the country, local and overseas corporations, members of the academia, and the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI).
According to the agenda, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will not only attend and speak at the forum but will also attend direct discussions with representatives.
The two main sessions of VRDF 2020 will discuss issues related to the reform and development of Vietnam in the new normal, common troubles shared by businesses and people, and comments for the socioeconomic development plan for 2021-2030 and five-year development plan for 2021-2025, leveraging Vietnam's position at all regional and international forums.
In the first session on COVID-19 and the actions of Vietnam to seize opportunities and improve its position in global value chains, the forum will highlight global trends in trade and manufacturing chains; discuss restructuring and improving the position of Vietnam in global value chains; touch upon mobilising high-quality foreign investment and developing the private sector; and discover ways to overcome challenges for the sustainable development of businesses.
The second session will be themed on digital transformation and restructuring towards inclusive and sustainable development. Participants will be able to discuss Vietnam's actions to boost digital transformation and options for businesses in this push.
