As for the fight against Covid-19, the Government asked ministries, agencies and localities to seriously fulfill their assigned tasks and consider it a key mission, according to a solution of the Government’s July 2020 regular meeting.

They must mobilize all resources to promptly deal with Covid-19 outbreaks, especially the hotspot in Danang City. Localities were assigned to build plans to cope with possible developments of the pandemic, and ensure security and order as well as the adequate supply of essential goods.

Also, they were told to remove difficulties in production and business facing enterprises, accelerate the disbursement of investment capital, enhance the administrative reform and the investment environment improvement, and create favorable conditions to reduce costs for local residents and enterprises.

Especially, ministries, agencies and localities have to develop monetary policies to support the economy and sectors hit by Covid-19.

Local residents and enterprises should be given easier access to loans with reasonable interest rates. Additionally, loans should be offered for priority sectors, and solutions to reduce, exempt and delay the payment of taxes, fees for residents and firms should be worked out.

It is a must to help remove obstacles facing export firms, improve their ability to cope with trade remedies of importing countries, develop the domestic market and ensure the energy security.

The Government also asked for the acceleration of investment procedure completion to early kick off important traffic infrastructure development projects, such as Long Thanh international airport and eastern North-South expressway.

Moreover, ministries, agencies and localities must effectively adopt solutions on social welfare, the labor market and employment, especially providing the relief package to people and enterprises affected by Covid-19.
