BIDV Securities Company (BSC) races to achieve stellar profit in 2020

At its recent annual meeting, BIDV Securities Company (HSX: BSC) has officially announced its plan to achieve pre-tax profit of VND86 billion ($3.74 million) for this year, with brokerage and margin lending activities envisaged to be the key revenue drivers.

In 2020, BSC is slated to issue individual shares for strategic investors worth up to 53.86 per cent of its charter capital, thereby increasing its charter capital to VND1.8 trillion ($78.26 million).

Furthermore, the firm plans to pay 7 per cent cash dividends.

BSC has just appointed Nguyen Duy Vien – who was freshly elected as general director on June 18 – to its board as the firm gears up to expand its operations.

Vien’s extensive 20 years of experience, professionalism, and network, especially in banking and finance, will further support the delivery of BSC’s strategy. His solid credentials also make him a strong addition to the BSC board at the age of sustainable leadership.

Vibrant brokerage activities

In the first quarter of 2020, BSC was proudly chosen as one of Top 10 brokerage companies with largest market shares in stock brokerage, fund certificates, and covered warrant in Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange and Hanoi Stock Exchange.

Accordingly, BSC has provided a full suite of advanced advisory services which implement cutting-edge technologies, such as i-Invest and i-Broker. These projects have improved the quality of the firm’s services, ensured novel ideas benefiting customers more quickly, as well as offering emerging trends of advisory services.

In June, BSC has launched BiBroker, which is integrated to the Online Price Board with smart information system, offering a simple yet comprehensive interface.

BSC is also a pioneer and the leading securities firm in Vietnam to co-operate with a fintech partner to explore new potentials. The approach is expected to bridge the gap between the analysis system of fintech and BSC's trading platform while delivering more convenience to customers. This technological evolution will help BSC develop a full spectrum of financial offerings to its existing and new clients, particularly foreign investors.

The leading bond broker

With its extensive on-ground knowledge, BSC continues to position itself as the leading bond broker in Vietnam, illustrated by its professionalism bringing top-notch and customer-centric services. The firm was honoured as the very best market maker on the government bond market by the Ministry of Finance last year.

On June 8, the firm has officially issued bonds of prestigious state-owned lender BIDV, as one of the safest investment strategies with flexible terms and high yields for investors.
