UNIQLO Vincom Pham Ngoc Thach, which is located in Vincom Pham Ngoc Thach shopping centre in Dong Da district, has two floors covering 2,500 square metres. It is the first of at least three or four stores that Fast Retailing Group – the parent company of UNIQLO – will open in Hanoi this year.

In order to create the most comfortable shopping experience, UNIQLO divided shoppers into groups of 50 to enter the store to avoid an overload. In addition, in order to ensure the safety of customers in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic, the managing board asked customers to use face masks.

UNIQLO Pham Ngoc Thach offers a customised in-store experience to reflect the lives and likes of local people. The store will also carry the full global line-up of UNIQLO LifeWear: high quality, functional, and affordable clothing to meet the needs of everyone’s daily lifestyles. On the day of opening, UNIQLO issued numerous promotion programmes, including discounting many products to VND299,000 ($13).

Nguyen Thuy Trang, a customer from Vinh Phuc who was one of the first customers, said that she left home early morning and brought VND5 million ($220) for shopping.

“UNIQLO is my favourite fashion brand since 2014. I was at the launching ceremony of the UNQLO Dong Khoi store in Ho Chi Minh City and I see that there are fewer customers here than at the opening of the very first store in Vietnam. There are also no foreigners around this time,” Trang said.
