Detailed plans for Vega City Van Don revealed

Lien Son JSC and KDI JSC have submitted a report to the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province regarding the proposed Vega City Van Don project.

 

The project will cover ​​474ha in Van Yen Commune, Van Don district with a cost of VND10 trillion (US$431 million).

Part of the plan includes recreating the ancient port of Van Don.

The project includes cultural park, performance stages, a spiritual resort, a maritime museum and a contemporary cultural tourism centre.

In addition, the resort will have physical and mental healthcare centres and more than 100 floating villas. The cultural and entertainment area will have modern entertainment centres that meet international standards.

The investors have pledged to protect the forests and environment, and use water and energy efficiently.

After listening to the report, People's Committee Chairman Nguyen Van Thang agreed with the proposal.

He also asked provincial and district economic zone management boards to co-operate closely with the investors to implement the plans and submit them to the provincial Party Committee for approval.
