HORASIS Binh Duong – attractive destination for foreign investors

The organisation of international events like the Asian Economic Cooperation Forum (HORASIS) has not only brought investment opportunities and other advantages for domestic and foreign investors but helped raise Binh Duong into a member of many prestigious international organisations.

With HORASIS, Binh Duong has become part of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), as Binh Duong New City Trade Centre was added by the WTCA as its newest official member.

The purpose of the establishment and development of Binh Duong New City Trade Centre was to help local enterprises develop international trading connections and develop Binh Duong into an active area with professional services, good human resources for global trade, and increase the attractiveness of property projects in the whole area.

Binh Duong New City Trade Centre provides international services in Binh Duong province and neighbouring areas by combining all domestic and international resources, including facilities and international trade services such as the International Conference and Exhibition Centre, office building, trade centre, and hotel and restaurants.

In addition to these are services for international conference organisation, and trade and investment connection services. Apart from these, there is an information centre and a centre for human resources, among others.

Binh Duong New City Trade Centre also receives members who can now access the more than one million enterprises around the world connected to the centre.

According to a representative from Becamex IDC, Binh Duong New City Trade Centre was built at the intersection of New City, located right next to the current Binh Duong Administrative Centre. When the construction is finished, the centre will be connected with Metro Line No.1 of Ho Chi Minh City.

HORASIS connecting enterprises and investors

This September, the Prime Minister agreed in principle to permit Binh Duong province to host the HORASIS 2019.

HORASIS – Binh Duong 2019 will see the participation of 400 VIP guests from 60 countries and territories, together with more than 350 visitors from the Vietnamese government and local authorities. HORASIS will host a chain of discussions and a conference on global and regional economic issues and the most advanced IT development trends. It will consist of four plenary sections, 35 regional discussions focusing on Asian countries, and many different sideline events such as HORASIS For All and a festival.

This is the second consecutive year that Binh Duong province hosts HORASIS, after a successful edition in 2018.

Talking at the HORASIS 2018, deputy prime minister Trinh Dinh Dung said that Binh Duong was one of the most active provinces in Vietnam and is at the forefront in creating a favourable environment for investors. Binh Duong has also been one of the leading provinces working to attract FDI to the country.

“Participants at the HORASIS will have the chance to meet and discuss investment opportunities with many partners of Vietnam and Binh Duong,” Dung said.

At HORASIS 2019, many agreements were signed between domestic and international partners, with the most outstanding being Binh Duong New City Trade Centre's accession to the WTCA.

Other important agreements include Becamex IDC signing co-operation contracts with many international partners on increasing experience sharing, support, and trade co-operation, as well as business, investment promotion, and scientific research on industrial park and urban development.

Becamex IDC also signed with many other multinational groups to implement applications based on blockchain, AI, and Internet of Things (IoT) to combine enterprises’ and local authorities.

All of the agreements which Becamex IDC has so far achieved prove the prestige of Becamex IDC in both the domestic and international business communities.

In addition, HORASIS is an influential international organisation which can drive great impact in the global community and is a believable bridge of connection for enterprises.

Binh Duong province is calling for investors to co-invest in a range of fields such as high-tech, supporting industries, IT, electric, electronic, and machinery manufacturing, as well as trading promotion, services, and investment in infrastructure system, education, and human resources.

Binh Duong is now the third-largest province behind Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi in FDI attraction with more than 3,650 registered projects and the total investment capital of more than $33 billion.

- WTC BDNC will be announced at November 23, 2019 at Binh Duong province.

- HORASIS – Binh Duong 2019 will be organised from November 24 to 26, 2019 at the Conference and Exhibition Centre of Binh Duong province.
