HanoiTex 2019 opens

The Viet Nam Hanoi Textile & Garment Industry Expo – Fabric & Garment Accessories (HanoiTex) 2019 opened in Ha Noi Wednesday.

 

With 179 businesses from 15 countries and territories, the latest technology in the field of textile and garment is on display.

“This exhibition is a good opportunity for Vietnamese textile enterprises to find providers for equipment, technology and materials; update the latest information on world market to continue developing strongly and sustainably," said General Director of the Viet Nam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) Le Tien Truong.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Cao Quoc Hung said Hanoitex 2019 would help Vietnamese textile enterprises have opportunities to select modern technology to increase localisation and meet the diverse needs of customers.

The investment would help businesses meet rules of origin in free trade agreements (FTAs) that Viet Nam has signed, thereby raising added value, contributing to developing the country's textile and garment industry to integrate more effectively regionally and globally, Hung added.

HanoiTex 2019 will be held until Friday at the Ha Noi International Exhibition Centre (ICE). The next event, SaigonTex 2020, will be held in HCM City will take place from April 8 to April 11 next year.
