Selection of typical products for 2019 starts in HCMC

The HCMC Business Association has announced regulations and criteria on the selection of products and services as typical ones in HCMC in 2019 as well as the receipt of registrations for selection.

The selection, which takes place every two years, is aimed at promoting the brands of selected products and services, developing major brands in HCMC and honoring high-quality products and services for their contribution to the city’s development.

The enterprises that registered their products and services for selection should meet requirements for economic efficiency in terms of revenue, profit and tax payment; production and business activities that are friendly to the environment; and full compliance with laws.

Besides this, their products and services have to ensure safety and quality and meet ISO, HACCP and GMP standards.

Compared with the 2017 selection, this year’s edition is expected to have the participation of firms and organizations active in the science and technology field.

Typical products and services will be named after being selected by some members of the association and the selection committee.

The registration is scheduled to conclude on August 15, and the result will be announced on October 13.

In 2017, 125 firms registered 265 products and services for selection, of which 79 products and services were named as typical ones in the city.
