SCG reports strong Q1 growth in Kingdom

Thailand’s Siam Cement Group Public Company Limited (SCG) on Tuesday reported strong growth in the Cambodian market during this year’s first quarter, citing a nine per cent year-on-year increase in sales revenue.

According to an SCG press release, the firm reported $110 million in sales revenue in the Kingdom during the first three months of this year, an increase of nine per cent compared to the same period last year.

It added that the company’s assets in Cambodia at the end of March this year reached $356 million, an increase of nine per cent from the end of March last year.

The firm did not detail its estimated profit in the first three months of this year. Last year, SCG Cambodia received revenue from sales of $396 million, an increase of 15 per cent from 2017.

SCG also unveiled its latest initiative in the Kingdom as it launched “Interior Solution”, designed to provide more convenience for customers who are seeking one-stop services in design, construction and decoration.

“The ‘solution’ is an extension of SCG’s offerings, which aims to offer better living for Cambodian customers,” said SCG’s Cambodia country director Somwang Manpimonchai in the release.
