Ha Nam grants licences for two projects

The licences went to an infrastructure construction project for Thanh Liem Industrial Zone’s second phase run by Capella Land Joint Stock Company and a carbon fiber production plant project of Japan’ Teijin Group.

The Capella project will develop infrastructure for Thanh Liem Industrial Zone over an area of 143 hectares with total investment of nearly VND950 billion (US$40 million).

Teijin’s plant will have total investment of $12 million to produce carbon fiber used in the aerospace, automobile, plastics and medical industries.

Chairman of Ha Nam Province People’s Committee Nguyen Xuan Dong asked agencies to provide support in terms of procedures and land clearance to ensure the implementation of the projects.

Ha Nam is working to develop its infrastructure system and hasten administrative reforms to improve its investment climate and attract investors, Dong said.

As of May, the northern province had granted licences for 40 projects with total registered capital of $350 million, 16 of which were foreign-invested.

Ha Nam has 887 projects, including 260 foreign-invested, with total registered capital of around $7.7 billion.
