Best Western signs MOU for Quang Nam resort opportunity
Best Western Hotels and Resorts, one of the largest hotel groups in the world, signed a memorandum of understanding with Vindeb JSC regarding the branding and management of a mixed midscale and upscale condotel project in Ha My beach, Quang Nam province.
Condotel Ha My Beach will comprise of a four- and a five-star hotel with the combined area of 4,000 square meters and 500 apartments, within Ha My Beach at Dien Duong ward, Dien Ban town.
This project will be a landmark of the town. Upon completion, it will provide a modern and appealing resort for both local and international hotel guests.
At the signing ceremony, Cyrill Czerwonka, regional director of development Asia for Best Western Hotels & Resorts, said that the company has researched the Vietnamese market, more specifically Danang and Hoi An. Foreign visitors to Vietnam are mainly middle-income and the project is expected to be a success with its two components: a midscale hotel with all the expected facilities, and, on top of it, an upscale hotel commanding higher rates with stunning views and higher service level.
On the developer side, Can Xuan Trang, director of Vindeb, said, “Danang and Hoi An are well-known as growing resort destinations, so it is opportunistic to invest in hotels in the surrounding area.”
“Ha My Beach is not yet as crowded as the beaches in Danang. It is peaceful and new to the public, offering more privacy, while still being close to Danang and Hoi An, which are well-established destinations in Vietnam. In 2017, the UK newspaper Telegraph ranked Ha My as one of the top ten beaches in Asia,” Trang said.
“Located in a wild and amazingly beautiful beach, this condotel project is like a fresh and mild breeze. It is modern and friendly,” Trang added.
At the ceremony, Trang highly appreciated the support from the local government and agencies in Quang Nam, and expressed hope to continue receiving more assistance from these government bodies to complete and operate this new landmark in a timely manner.
Best Western Hotels & Resorts is one of the biggest hotel groups in the world, with more than 4,500 hotels in over 100 countries, of which 2,200 are in the US.
In Vietnam, it has been expanding dynamically with Best Western Premier Hotel Sonasea Phu Quoc already opened, and more and more projects are scheduled for opening, in Quang Binh, Hanoi, Nha Trang, and Cam Ranh.
