Quang Binh secures over US$2 billion in economic, industrial zones

Industrial parks and economic zones in the central province of Quang Binh have attracted nearly VND50 trillion (US$2.15 billion) in 122 projects in the first three months of this year, chinhphu.vn reported.

Of this, foreign investors poured $18.2 million into three foreign direct invested (FDI) projects.

Head of the provincial Economic Zone Management Board Pham Van Nam said on Wednesday that the board had focused on investment promotion activities to lure major investors.

The board had set up a database with updated information about investment laws and local demands to connect domestic and foreign partners, he said.

The province planned to co-ordinate with agencies to promote local potential and choose projects which matched its development strategies and make huge contributions to the State budget.

The province would support investors to complete procedures and remove bottlenecks so they could enjoy good business conditions in the locality, he added.
