More than 540 firms win Vietnamese High-Quality Goods award

This year’s Vietnamese High-Quality Goods awards were given away to 542 businesses at a ceremony held in HCM City on Wednesday (February 20).

The winners make products such as sauces, spices and confectionary; non-alcoholic beverages; cosmetics and chemical cosmetics; jewellery; electrical and household machinery; milk and milk-based products; farm produce; pharmaceuticals; and dried foodstuff and instant foods.

The winners included ABC Bakery, Vinamit, Thien Long Group Corporation, Nghia Nippers Corporation, Kim Hang Aluminium Plastic Corporation, Phu Nhuan Jewelry JSC, Vinh Tien Paper JSC, and Van Thanh Mattress Co Ltd.

The annual awards are given by the High Quality Vietnamese Product Business Association and this was the 23rd year.

The awards were based on a survey done by directly interviewing 12,000 households and 5,400 sellers in 12 major provinces and cities and an online survey using a specialised app that received 4,000 responses.

The customer survey was followed by screening by authorised agencies and relevant industries and checking for transparency of information.

Also at the ceremony, the association granted Vietnamese High-quality Goods-Integration Standard certificates to 14 companies in the food sector, taking the number of companies meeting the standard to 102.

The awards ceremony was attended by nearly 600 delegates, including State officials, leaders of cities and provinces, representatives of international organisations, and businesses.
