Thai firms looking for Vietnamese partners

Twenty Thai firms from the refrigeration, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical components, and electronics industries on Friday took part in a business matching event in HCM City to find local partners.

The event was organised by the Thai Ministry of Commerce’s department of international trade promotion as part of a roadshow to introduce two Bangkok fairs to attract more visitors from Asean member countries.

The 2019 Bangkok Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioner Fair (Bangkok RHVAC 2019) and Bangkok Electric & Electronics Fair (Bangkok E&E) will take place from September 25 to 28 in the Thai capital.

This year 400 companies will exhibit their products in 1,000 booths and more than 14,000 visitors from around world are expected, Wittayakorn Maneenetr, deputy director general of the department, said.

They would provide one-stop solutions providing chances for operators through the supply chain industry, he said.

Vietnamese enterprises should join the fairs to explore business opportunities from prominent traders and key industry players from around the world, he said.

Thailand exports electrical and electronics products mainly to Southeast Asia, and Viet Nam mainly imports air conditioners from it, he added.

Thailand ranks second in the world in air conditioner production and fourth in refrigerator production.
