Swisstouches La Luna Resort Nha Trang condotel investment offers overseas study opportunities

By investing in the Condotel Nha Trang project - Swisstouches La Luna Resort, investors will acquire an opportunity for overseas study in Switzerland or Singapore.

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the country will welcome the 15th million foreign visitor this month.

The non-smoke industry has achieved anannual growth rate of more than 30 per cent with the total of nearly 600,000 rooms that created three million jobs.

Despite of this great potential the hospitability industry always tops the list of sectors lacking of high quality human resources, particularly the luxury hotel segment.

With respect to real estate complex, many developers have found it hard to sort out qualified and professional human resources. As this is a fresh real estate model in Vietnam, the relevant human resources need to be well-trained before taking on jobs at five-star hotel and resort venues.

Amidst these challenges, the developer of Swisstouches La Luna Resort, Marina Hotel JSC, has not only oriented themselves as property developers but also has taken a bold step to embrace training professional human resources to work in the tourism and hotel management industry. This is the first developer in Vietnam that has made this move.

Accordingly, Marina Hotel .JSC has recently joined hands with HTMi Hotel and Tourism Management Institute from Switzerland. The two sides will jointly build and develop the HTMi Hotel Management School in Vietnam.

The Swiss partner will support the Vietnamese developer in training quality human resources in hotel services to later work at Marina Hotel JSC projects.

In the speed, the representative of Marina Hotel.JSC expressed their wish to appoint Vietnamese personnel to take on management positions after this project comes into operation. The Swisstouches La Luna Resort chain of Marina Hotel JSC in Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, and Can Tho is expected to provide jobs to more than 4,000 people once these resorts are open.

“Our company offers a policy of 20 percent scholarship to any training course at HTMi Hotel and Tourism Management Institute in Switzerland or Singapore to any investors whose total purchase value surpasses VND5 billion ($217,400). The scholarship will increase to 50 per cent for customers whose investment value exceeds VND10 billion ($434,800) and those with investment value surpassing VND15 billion ($652,000) will benefit the exemption from paying tuition,” said La Quang Binh, chairman of Marina Hotel JSC.

Binh also pledged that after completion at the HTMi institution, the offsprings of investors will have a place to work at their resort system in Vietnam. This means that besides receiving a commitment profit ratio of 9 per cent on an annual basis, plus several other incentives that the investors buying apartments at the resort real estate system could also secure the future of their offspring.

The top target in developing a resort project is to boost room occupancy, and this factor is heavily reliant on how the project will be operated and managed in the future.

Hence, investing in a pipeline of quality human resources is a wise move and long-term vision by developer Marina Hotel JSC for a guarantee of high and stable growth in occupancy throughout their resort real estate system of about 20,000 hotel rooms in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

“Co-operating with the HTMi Hotel and Tourism Management Institute lay in our strategy to develop a chain of five-star resort venues as this brand is ranked in top 14 in terms of training quality on the globe. They are on the way of expanding its brand name into the Middle East besides Switzerland, Singapore, and Australia.” Binh added.

According to Bernie Quinn, Academic Dean at HTMi Singapore, the graduates of the HTMi Institute have been employed by five-star hotels worldwide and they are themselves ambassadors of Swisstouches around the world.

“We are on plan of building the HTMi School in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City aiming to provide professional and high-quality hotel management training,” he said.

Bernie said he expects the co-operation on training will contribute to the successive generations with sufficient skill and quality to carve a name for the Vietnamese hotel and service industry on the world map.
