PM praises tech as beneficial to tourism

In a message for World Tourism Day 2018, Prime Minister Hun Sen said that Cambodia’s tourism sector has strong potential to seize the benefits offered by technology.

He also warned that Cambodia must protect itself from the dangers inherent in the online age.

Hun Sen said that the Fourth Industrial Revolution, or Industry 4.0, has broughtmany benefits across sectors, notably tourism.

He said the challenges include lost jobs, online crime threats to national security.

Hun Sen also praised Cambodia’s young population for adapting quickly to new technology.
