Firms prep for next month’s Cambuild

More than 350 companies from 23 countries are set to attend the eighth annual Cambuild expo in the capital this month to show off construction-related products amid a development sector boom.

The three-day event will take place from September 12 to 14 on Koh Pich Island and is being organised by AMB Tarsus Event Group.

At a press conference on Thursday, the organisers said firms from Italy, Germany, Japan, China, South Korea, Malaysia and Thailand will attend.

Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction secretary of state Phoung Sophan who joined the press conference, said the event would serve to propel the fast-growing construction sector.

“It is really necessary for all construction to be based on ‘smart city’ concepts. The event will help us share experiences among experts on the basics of smart city building,” he said.
