Ticket revenue rises at Kingdom’s Angkor Park

The Angkor Archaeological Park saw a rise in visitor numbers and an 18 percent jump in revenue from ticket sales, generating $61.47 million for the first six months of the year.

An Angkor Enterprise statement released earlier this month said the number of visitors to the Kingdom’s landmark tourist site reached nearly 1.4 million for the first six months – an increase of 10 percent over last year.

The admission fee for foreign visitors to the park is now set at $37 for a single-day pass, $62 for a three-day pass and $72 for a week-long pass. Prices were hiked from where they stood in 2016, when set at $20, $40 and $60 respectively.
