Singapore firm to integrate government's permitting, licensing process
Singapore-based Cargo Cloud has secured a contract to integrate the online systems of several government ministries in order to facilitate license and permit issuing services.
The company's integrated platform, named CamelONE, is intended to help digitise the application process and create an online “single window” for all licensing and permitting, which could boost efficiency and decrease so-called “informal fees”, according to Singapore-based publication The Edge, which first reported the deal.
The Cambodian government has been slowly rolling out single-window services in a variety of sectors, although surveys on the ease of doing business in the Kingdom still regularly ding the government for its complicated registration and permitting system.
The ministries involved in the project include the Commerce, Agriculture, Health, Industry and Handicrafts, Economy, and Transport ministries, according to the report.
