Amax in talks to run VIP room in local casino

AMAX International Holdings Ltd is in talks for exclusive operating rights of a VIP room at an undisclosed Chinese-owned Cambodian casino, the Hong Kong-listed gaming investment firm said in a filing on Monday.

Amax said it signed a non-binding letter of intent on a potential deal that could diversify its income stream and to expand its gaming business.

The company has an exclusive negotiating window until October 30 to finalise terms of an agreement while it must also conduct due diligence on the legality of the casino in question.
