Private sector crucial to ICT development: gov’t
The government has recognised the crucial role that public private partnerships play in developing Cambodia’s telecommunications sector and will strengthen collaboration with the private sector to achieve its ICT infrastructure goals, Minister of Post and Telecommunications Tram Iv Tek said yesterday.
During the International Infrastructure Summit in Phnom Penh, Iv Tek said that “the government hopes to have 100 percent broadband urban coverage in urban areas and 70 percent coverage in rural areas by 2020, and actively partnering with the specialist infrastructure companies is key to ensuring we are on track”.
