FLC Grand Hotel inaugurated
FLC Group on Saturday officially inaugurated its VND1.2 trillion (US$52.8 million) FLC Grand Hotel at the FLC Sam Son Beach and Golf Resort complex in the central province of Thanh Hoa.
Covering an area of 3.6ha, the 15-floor hotel has 588 sea-view rooms and two president rooms. In addition to available facilities in the complex including the international convention centre, an 18-hole golf course, four-season swimming pool system, FLC Grand Hotel also offers bars, coffee shops and an infinity pool. This property is the second hotel in the complex meeting five-star standards.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Le Thi Thin, vice chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee said the hotel would help boost the capacity of FLC Sam Son to 1,000 rooms which would be eligible for organising events at both national and international levels as well as increasing the total number of hotel rooms in the province to 22,300, the 6th highest in the country.
Thin highly valued FLC Group’s contribution in making tourism a key economic sector in Thanh Hoa Province. The locality would facilitate the group in drawing more residents and tourists to Thanh Hoa.
She also urged FLC to accelerate the construction of Lux City to complete the high-end complex.
In July 2015, the property investor inaugurated the first phase of the first five-star FLC Beach & Golf Resort in the province with total investment of VND5 trillion. The first FLC Luxury Hotel with 355 sea-view rooms did not meet the increasing tourism demand in Thanh Hoa. The province has seen outstanding improvements in its transport infrastructure such as the upgrade of National Highway 1A and 47 and the inauguration of a direct flight between Thanh Hoa and Bangkok in July.
“In the first half of the year, the province received around 4.3 million tourist arrivals, posting a 10.8 per cent year-on-year increase. The hotel is expected to partly meet the increasing room demand,” FLC said.
FLC Group has continued to cement its place as the largest investor in the province so far.
