Advertising equipment, technology expo opens in HCM City

The eighth Viet Nam International Advertising Equipment and Technology Exhibition (VietAd 2017 HCM City) opened in HCM City on August 3.

The annual event has attracted nearly 100 local and foreign exhibitors who have set up 300 booths to showcase machinery and equipment used in the advertising industry like machines for digital inkjet printing, photo printing, laser cutting, carving, and engraving; LED technology, advertising and display equipment, and others.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dinh Quang Ngu, chairman of the Viet Nam Advertising Association, said the event is an opportunity for businesses to introduce their latest products and technologies and explore co-operation opportunities in the advertising industry.

After being held eight times in HCM City and thrice in Ha Noi, the expo has become an indispensable annual event for the domestic and international advertising community, he said.

Also on Thursday the event’s organisers launched an online advertising equipment and technology marketplace at www.vietadmart.com.

The website features many new machinery and equipment, LED technology, advertising materials, display and others used in the advertising industry.

Nguyen Thanh Dao, general director of Dong Nam Advertising and Commercial Promotion JSC, the expo’s organiser, said the website would enable suppliers to the advertising industry to introduce their products and services quickly and efficiently.

The expo will run until August 6 at the Phu Tho Indoor Stadium in District 11 and is expected to get more than 10,000 visitors.
