VSIP The Habitat Binh Duong wins Vietnam Property Award

The Habitat Binh Duong has emerged as the winner of the Best Mid-End Condo Development category at Vietnam Property Awards 2017, held yesterday evening (June 2) at InterContinental Asiana Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards 2017 honoured well-designed and developed projects and rewards the country’s best developers, real estate projects, and design ideas in the top-tier markets and emerging resort destinations.

PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards was organised for the third year, highlighting the high quality standards in developments across Vietnam and celebrating the achievements of the country’s rapidly growing property sector. The Awards are part of the 12-year-old Asia Property Awards programme.

The Habitat Binh Duong is the first residential property developed by VSIP-Sembcorp Gateway Development Co., Ltd. The shareholders are Singapore-based Sembcorp Properties, a subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, Japan’s MC Development Asia, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, and VSIP JV Co., Ltd., the developer of the VSIP integrated township and industrial parks in Binh Duong and other provinces in Vietnam.

The Habitat Binh Duong was conceived as part of VSIP’s integrated development project in response to the demand from tenants and the expatriate community to deliver housing and related amenities that encompass all areas of work, life, and relaxation. The complex provides convenient access to best-in-class amenities, including the club house and gym, swimming pools for adults and children, playground, BBQ pit, jogging track, and open lawn.

Promising its future residents a top-notch living experience, The Habitat Binh Duong has garnered attention from the wider working population and residents in outer districts of the province since its official launch in mid-2016.

The developer has sold out more than 90 per cent of the 267 units available in The Habitat Binh Duong. Construction has been completed for the two apartment towers and on-site facilities. Since April 2017, apartment units are being handed over to buyers in phases.

Right from the start, the developers focused on delivering quality finishing, high construction standards, and facilities that are more consistent with high-end residential developments. All these were within reach due to the experience of shareholders Sembcorp and MCDA, who have been delivering quality commercial and residential developments across the region.

Consultants, contractors, and design agencies with strong reputation and expertise were invited to collaborate on the development, including RSP Architects Planners and Engineers, Apave, Arcardis, Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1 (Cofico), Site Concepts International, and HALO Interiors and Architects.

The Habitat Binh Duong is a gated condominium development in Thuan An district. The development comprises 267 apartments offering living spaces from 58 to 103 square metres per unit (approximate carpet area measurements). With more than 30 per cent of the development designated for landscaping, the development strikes a perfect balance between modern convenience and tropical oasis.

The Habitat Binh Duong has the distinction of being the first residential development in Vietnam with dual-key apartments comprising of two separate units: a two-bedroom unit and a separate, cosy studio unit that provides owners with privacy when living with their extended family—it could even be used as additional space for rental income.

The Habitat Binh Duong’s current phase is part of a larger condo development plan.
