International Vietbuild exhibition opens in Da Nang

More than 600 pavilions of 300 businesses from Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, China and Viet Nam displayed their products at the International Vietbuild Exhibition on Wednesday.

 

The exhibition, which will last through Sunday, displayed various items including construction materials, electronic equipment, solar energy technology, furniture, ‘green’ technology and architecture solutions.

“It has been one of the largest construction exhibitions in Viet Nam since it debuted in 1995. Da Nang is a favourite location for the event with good infrastructure and tourism services,” said Nguyen Tan Van, chairman of Viet Nam’s Architecture Association.

“This year, exhibiters focused on updated technology material, nano-tech, non-baked bricks, renewable energy, solar-heater system and environment-friendly architecture and design,” he said.

Vạn also said forums and conferences on architecture, design and the Viet Nam Architecture Forum will be held through the week in the city as part of Vietbuild activities.

He said the association will award ‘green’ designs and ‘future apartment’ architecture during the architecture festival.

Business to business exchanges and a seminar on construction material production the central and central highlands region will also take place during the forum.

Famous architects Bill Bensley, who designed the iconic Intercontinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula resort in Da Nang; pish Salvador Perez Arroyo, chairman of the Executive Board of the Design Consultancy Salvador Perez Arroyo&Partners; Chris Bosse director of Lava Asia Pacific based in Sydney, Australia and Vietnamese Nguyen Thuc Hao, Nguyen Hoang Manh will lecture at the Viet Nam Architecture Forum at the city’s Administrative Centre on Saturday.
