HN to conduct economic census of municipality

The Ha Noi People’s Committee has recently issued its 2017 economic census plan for the municipality, where it will investigate the business sector, administration agencies, private services and religious affairs.

The former two groups will undergo census starting March 1, 2017, while the latter two will be probed on July 1, 2017.

The areas of census include general information such as name, field of operation, ownership and operation model, in addition to labour information and wages, information on production such as asset, capital, cost and tax and contribution to the state budget. Also, under census are the investment fund, energy consumption and technological application.

The committee will base its report on a few main indications and will publish it in December 2017. The official results will be issued in the third quarter of 2018.

The comprehensive economic census aims to review the amount of labour and production units, income and revenue, labour allocation and ownership, besides calculating the specialised statistics targets, gross domestic product and updating business data.
