Solar panel factory opens in Bắc Giang

Trina Solar Group on Friday started operation of a US$100-million factory manufacturing solar panels in the Quang Chau Industrial Park in Viet Yen District, northern Bac Giang Province.

 

The factory, which is able to generate 800MW per year, is the seventh factory now operating in Bac Giang province.

With eight projects for solar panels licensed with a total investment of $635 million, Bac Giang has become the province with largest scale of solar panel production. These projects have a total capacity of 5,200MW per year.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Van Linh, Chairman of the Bac Giang People’s Committee, asked Trina Solar group to pay attention to technology appliance so as to create high-quality products while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and the reasonable use of resources.

He also requested local agencies to create favourable conditions for enterprises to operate and guide them in implementing labour laws, work safety and environmental protection.
