Vĩnh Phúc exhibition marks 20 years of re-establishment

The People’s Committee of the northern province of Vinh Phuc on Sunday evening opened a socio-economic achievement exhibition and trade fair to celebrate 20 years of re-establishment.

Among the 350 booths at the event, there are 150 stalls in the trade fair area, featuring products ranging from industrial products, such as automobiles, motorbikes and home appliances, to farm produces which are the province’s specialties.

The exhibition and trade fair is an opportunity for the province to introduce to domestic and foreign investors its socio-economic achievements over the past 20 years, as well as policies for the locality’s sustainable development, Tran Van Vinh, standing deputy secretary of the provincial Party Committee, said.

The province is expected to reach an economic growth rate of 8.56 per cent in 2016 and State budget collection of VND30.8 trillion (US$1.37 billion), recording the highest level, so far.

Vinh added that this is also an opportunity for local enterprises to promote their products and brand names and increase exchange of experiences and business co-operation with partners.

The exhibition and trade fair will last until December 30.
