Vietnam plans to sell 9 pct of Vinamilk on Dec. 2
Vietnam's State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) plans to sell 9 percent of dairy firm Vinamilk, worth around $800 million at current market value, on Dec. 2, it said on Monday.
SCIC, which owns 44.7 percent of Vinamilk, also said it would not look for strategic investors for the stake sale in Vinamilk, the country's biggest listed firm.
SCIC has not decided the time for selling its remaining stake in the state-controlled dairy firm, SCIC chairman Nguyen Duc Chi told a conference to introduce the sale on Monday.
He said F&N Dairy Investment, backed by Thai beer billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi and which now owns 10.95 percent of Vinamilk, has not submitted any offer to buy more stakes in the firm.
