PM approves adjustments to planning for Long An’s industrial zones

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc has agreed on adjustments to Long An provincial industrial zone (IZ) development planning until 2020.

Accordingly, the area of the Duc Hoa III IZ will be reduced by 1,787.655 hectares from 1,857.655 hectares, while the Duc Hoa III – Hong Dat IZ will be red down to 29.4 hectares from 99.4 hectares.

The expanded Hai Son IZ in Duc Hoa district’s Duc Hoa Ha commune will be supplemented with an area of 77.81 hectares. Meanwhile, other IZs under the planning remain unchanged.

The PM asked Long An province to implement the approved planning, direct relevant agencies and investors to apply the adjustments; prepare a report on the environmental impacts and submit it for examination; and fully perform procedures concerning the exploitation and use of water resources and the treatment of wastewater in line with regulations on environmental protection.

With regards to the 70 hectares made redundant following the adjustment of the Duc Hoa III – Hong Dat IZ, the government leader assigns Long An to be responsible for planning and identifying the scale and purpose of using the land, as well as guiding the investment procedures and those concerning the shifting of land use purpose.
