Philips Lighting to build smart lighting system in Binh Duong

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) on developing a smart public lighting system in Binh Duong New City of Binh Duong Province was signed on October 25.

Under the MoU, Philips Lighting will install 2,000 sets of energy-efficient LED lights on some streets in Binh Duong.

General director of Philips Lighting Viet Nam Eric Benedetti said Philips Lighting pledged to build smart cities to bring high life quality to citizens and make life convenient for businesses.

In addition, the two sides agreed on a deal between Philips Lighting and the Eastern International University to build a laboratory to study lighting science at the university.

The MoU was signed between Dutch firm Philips Lighting, Binh Duong-based Becamex Investment and Industrial Development Corporation (BecamexIDC) and Eastern International University (EIU).
