Property forum slams lack of urban planning

Industry experts came together yesterday to discuss concerns over Cambodia’s ongoing property boom and what was needed for a sustainable future for Phnom Penh.

Speaking at a forum held in the capital, panellists bemoaned the poor state of urban planning and a lack of zoning laws, arguing that the government had been giving out permits too quickly.

They called for vigilance on height regulations and for the vetting of developers to ensure more sustainable development.
