Thousands to attend Ha Noi technology expo
Techmart Ha Noi 2016, a technology and equipment exhibition, will take place in the capital from September 28 to October 1, the event's organizers announced at a news conference last week.
The forthcoming expo is expected to draw about 390 enterprises, focusing on information technology, automation, engineering and machinery along with agro-forestry, fisheries and pharmaceuticals. Foreign businesses will display their products at about 50 booths.
The event will also include seminars and workshops on food safety and new technologies in biology, health and pharmacy.
A seminar to introduce mechanisms and policies to support business will also be held on the sidelines of the event.
Organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Techmart has facilitated closer co-operation between scientists and business to enhance the use of technology and improve competitiveness for international economic integration and sustainable development over the past 13 years.
More than 450 contracts and MoUs, worth VND380.6 billion (US$17 million), were signed at the national-scale Techmart Viet Nam 2015. According to the management board, the previous expo saw much co-operation forged between participants, many research results were exchanged scientists found new markets for their technology.
