A $50M copper mine at Kou Sa site envisaged
Australian-listed mining firm GeoPacific announced its first resource estimate on its copper-gold project in northern Cambodia, estimating 51,000 tonnes of copper equivalent at two adjacent prospects on its Kou Sa project site.
The company said in filing to the ASX yesterday that a “starter operation” with a 750,000 tpa flotation plant could produce 10,000 tonnes of copper concentrate per year with an initial mine life of seven years.
It said the plant could be built for less than $20 million.
