Sky Tree celebrates its success with a big open launch party

After the Cambodian developer J&L Property Development announced to take on Phnom Penh’s north, and offer under-market priced and high-quality condominiums with superior infrastructure in late April this year, bookings for the 1,104-unit condo development have poured in from all over the world.

Scott Wu, CEO of J&L, said that up to 50 per cent of its Tower-A units have been booked tentatively, taken up by a healthy mix of Cambodian nationals and foreigners from around the globe including from Singapore, China, Taiwan, Italy, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong and Macau.

Having gained so much positive feedback even before the official sales launch, which is set to take place this Saturday June 4, 2016, J&L has now decided to invite all customers that already have booked a unit, and others wanting, to the official opening event.

More than just showing gratitude with a big celebration, developer Wu said that this Saturday’s event at the Phnom Penh Hotel would be quite different from the stock standard condo launch events that Cambodia has seen so far.

“We want to be different from other developers,” Wu said this week, adding, “our event will be formal but with casual dressing. We invite all to promote the development. We want to serve all people who are genuinely interested in our condos. For this reason the event is free and open to anyone.”

In fact, ‘open to anyone’ stands for the whole developer’s philosophy behind Sky Tree Condo project. More than just being a place to live, Wu sees his development as the hub for a vivid community of neighbours and friends where culture and joint activities are celebrated in a casual atmosphere.

The company has recently completely renovated its sales center to further meet their intention of developing Cambodia’s culture and talents, in music, arts and literature, and handicrafts, amongst others.

“It always feels awkward if you bring a friend to book a unit. It is like you are doing this just to get the commission. I don’t like that and that’s why both customers, the new and the old, get a $1,000 cash discount on the units they book,” Wu explained.

Wu added that such considerations by the developer to look after the needs of both parties are the foundation for the anticipated Sky Tree Condo community which will focus on community empowerment. “I want friends to bring friends and neighbours to bring neighbours. I want them to invest in their future together and live together.”

As a further incentive to join the Sky Tree community on Saturday, June 4, there will be two lucky draws, one for all those attending the event, and another to all customers who have already booked and those who book on that day itself. The attendance lucky draw consists of many prizes, each worth $500.The second lucky draw, called the booking lucky draw, will have prizes worth $2,000 to $10,000.

As a little gift to the audience, all prizes and lucky draw announcements will be by the enchanting emcee for the event, Ms Sana.
