Railway operations resume after collision

No significant commercial delays or losses resulted from the collision between a train and a cement truck in Kampot province on Sunday as engineers were able to remove the disabled truck from the tracks and resume operations on the rail line within hours of the accident, John Guiry, CEO of Royal Railways said yesterday, dismissing reports that the province did not have a crane powerful enough to remove the cement-laden truck from the tracks.

Police were still investigating the identity of the truck driver and trucking company, and assessing damages, he said.
